Our hens aren’t just here to lay eggs—they’re part of the farm, part of the family, and part of the reason we do things the way we do. Some have been with us for years, scratching about, dust-bathing, and occasionally giving us a judgemental stare when we walk past. And while a few of the older girls have hung up their egg-laying hats, we wouldn’t dream of saying goodbye—retirement is well-earned, even for a hen.

That means our eggs are always in limited supply because we let our girls lay at their own pace—no rushing, no culling, just good old-fashioned, ethical farming. You can order our friendly eggs as usual, but if we ever run out of stock, you’ll automatically receive eggs from The Cheeky Chicken Company—a fantastic local farm that shares our values and takes just as much pride in their eggs as we do.

So whether they come from our flock or our friends, you can be sure you’re cracking open an egg laid by a truly happy hen. Because when hens are treated well, the eggs are just better. 🥚💛
